The Ground Itself:
The Hawthorns has undergone some much-needed redevelopment over the past few years. The introduction of the massive East Stand two years ago signalled the end of building work and no the Baggies have a stadium worthy of the Premiership, and is up there with the best ion Division One. The new stand consists one of enormous tier coupled with a row of executive boxes. The Halfords Lane Stand sits opposite. This is smaller yet equally characteristic, with executive boxes and seating that stretches into both ends of the stadium.
Away fans share the fairly new Smethwick End with home fans. WBA usually commit 3000 seats to away fans, or if demand is greater, all 5200 seats. Unfortunately, the stewards in the away end have a reputation for being very strict, so keep your wits about you, not giving them an excuse to throw you out.
Lastly, the Apollo 2000 Stand – the home end – is another new, rather large stand that is quite imposing to look at.
