The Ground Itself:
In reality, The City Ground should not be hosting a side that is fighting relegation. It is one of the most picturesque stadiums in the country, with the magnificent Trent End backing immediately onto the River of the same name. This is the double-tiered home end, capable of holding about 5,000 fans along with a row of boxes.
The Brian Clough Stand, named after their legendary and outspoken double European Cup winning manager of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. This equally impressive stand is a massive structure with two tiers and a row of boxes and was built in the mid 1980s (although it was called ‘The Executive Stand’ prior to Clough’s retirement in 1993). Opposite sits the old Main Stand, which Forest hope to redevelop some time in the future pending promotion to the Premiership. Away supporters sit in the Bridgford Stand, a newish stand that is oddly designed in regard to its wonky roof. We will receive 4,750 tickets for the lower tier of the stand.
