Referee - Keith Hill - Hertfordshire | Linesman - Peter Kirkup - Northampton |
Hill, from Royston, Hertfordshire, is a experienced Nationwide league referee. With 4 years behind him he has refereed quite a few games in all 3 divisions. Last season saw most of his games in Division One but he did referee the Alex in a 2-1 win at Colchester. That day he gave 3 yellow cards all to Colchester players. Them yellow cards helped his card tally up to 138 yellow cards and 7 red cards in just 37 games. In 01-02 Hill refereed two Alex games, Crewe away at Watford and Crewe away at Rotherham. Between the two games he gave out 4 yellow cards, all of them again going to the opposition players. 00-01 saw two more Alex games. He refereed the 4-1 thrashing at the Reebok Stadium with his cards staying in his pocket but earlier in that season saw him hand out 5 yellows at Loftus Road with 2 going to now departed Rob Hulse and Efe Sodje. In 99-00 he was the man in black against Ipswich and 4 yellows handed out with 2 to Lunt and Steve Macauley. Hill seems a fairly consistant ref averaging around the same amount of red and yellow cards a season. Nothing too great but doesn't look or sound too dodgey. | |
