Player ratings for Wigan

Ben Williams - 5 - Poor keeping for two of the goals, the last two. Could have moved for the first, but over all it was terrible defending for all four goals. Still wouldn't swap him for Ince, ohh no.

Mark Roberts - 6 - Naive defending at times, not great distribution. Ok.

Stephen Foster - 7 - Decent display but had some bad patches. Also at times really made himself known. Nothing special but certainly one of the better performers.

Billy Jones - 6 - Kept Ellington relatively quiet in his spell but a rash tackle by him led to an early injury.

Jon Otsemobor - 7 - Enjoyed some brilliant runs down the right side. Defending was spot on a lot of the time aswell. His best performance since arriving.

((Richard Walker - 4 - Straight away allowed Ellington in behind him. Shoddy.))

Neil Sorvel - 6 - Well, typical Neil performance. Probably ignored by many fans but he was solid as a rock and got play moving. Still a six though, don't build him up to bring him straight back down!

Justin Cochrane (MOTM) - 8 - Oh the big Coch. Awesoooome more. He broke down Wigan attacks, got play moving, got forward, got back when needed, tackled, held the ball up well but most of all gave every ounce of strength he had. He ran his socks off for the team tonight. Tireless. Brilliant.

Kenny Lunt - 6 - Not quite up to Saturday's standards but was there when needed (Except set pieces) and played some superb 40 yard balls.

David Vaughan - 8 - See Cochrane.

Andy White White White - 7 - He tries his best and really wants to play and improve. Not quite with this division YET but he's got everything heading in the right direction. Nothing quite went right for him tonight.

Steve Jones - 6 - In and out of the game. At times looked like he couldn't be arsed and at other times gave his all. Not a typical Jones performance, but got a decent goal. Needs to perk up for Reading.
