We're too one dimensional, when we go forward, we attack with no purpose and when Jones and Ashton do eventually get a chance their not clinical enough. Jones is a confidence player, hes not good enough for the 1st division. We need a Hulse back to score the scrappy poacher goals. We need a proven goalscorer. We miss Brammer without him we're useless and I've always thought Sorvel's c**p, ever since he's came back we keep losing. When Brammer's out I would prefer to Bell in there alongside Cochrane instead of Sorvel. We also need a right winger that will provide natural width down the right that can go past players and cross the ball. I know we havent got any money but Im sure theirs some solution. Sent by; Sam Christie "can anyone blame the lad's for not putting in an 100% performance when the critics dont even bother getting behind the lads" Ok, so we had a below (well very below) performance against Watford, yes we should be beating teams who only have 10 men and are near the bottom of the league. But can anyone blame the lad's for not putting in an 100% performance when the Critics (Fans mainly in the Main Stand and selected few in the Gresty Rd End) dont even bother getting behind the lads. Deano aint pefect but he wont improve as a player unless we support him and cheer him on, not boo him after every touch. So if i may make a suggestion that anyone who moaned at the final whistle or attacked Dean dont bother going the next match we can do with out your support. Sent by; "Wayupna" The perfomance was spineless and embarassing. How a team can perform so well against Forrest and so dismally today is beyond me. Sign up Brammer (quick) and spend some decent cash on a forward before it is too late. Please!!!! "As for Dean my advice is simple: Show Neil and the fans a bit of commitment when you wear the red shirt of Crewe Alex." Until we get another forward to compete for places I am certain that Dean's lethargic attempt at playing football will continue. I felt for Neil Baker on Saturday because the players let him down with that pathetic display against Watford and he was right to tell us what he thought about things and being honest about it is the best policy. Rodney and Hulsey are now being missed and I can't believe we haven't got anybody to strengthen up the attack and get us goals. (Just look at our goals column in the paper and the evidence is there in black and white) As for Dean my advice is simple: Show Neil and the fans a bit of commitment when you wear the red shirt of Crewe Alex. We all love to be on your wages playing football every week but when you perform like that it makes us all think why on earth we spend our hard earned cash watching you every week! We were trying to work out during the game whether or not an under-21 match was in the offing for Dean as he was not going for anything much that would represent any form of danger. While I can see why it is Crewe who pay his wages. Watford packed the defence very well and I would question one of the half-time substitutions. I assume Cochrane was injured but Rix for him was Ok. Jones is good at running on to the ball as he did on Saturday but does need some support and is not a natural header of aa high ball. Dean does not seem to like heading the ball but is a good finisher when he has the service. He does seem lazy in the role he now has which is not his natural role and putting himself in a good position would be better than petulant displays of 'why not pass it to me?' He did have a particularly bad day on Saturday as Gayle was totally in control of him but we should all have moved more to take advantage of ten men tiring. I do feel that Neil Baker could not motivate a bull in a field of cows and it was disgusting to lay into Dean Ashton on the radio like that. The dressing room is the place for a dressing down as no doubt some of his team I* have heard from various sources that he is arrogant but if he has any intelligence he should see that the best way to better things is to put his all into each game. The management team need to begin to do just that, i.e. manage. I don't suppose that Hulse and Jack could or should have been prevented from leaving but the forwards left do need some support, not because they are no good, but because it is unreasonable to expect them to do everything. Wouldn't mind being able to give a team talk myself as they do need to be a team. I still love to watch them and part of the trouble last Saturday was that when things aren't going right nothing but nothing falls kindly for you. Booing players off the pitch is disgusting. Sent by; Ann Tilling Deano's got the talent and quality but he only performs well when he feels like it. Im glad Bakes has slated him on radio, he needs a kick up the backside, maybe this will make him realise hes not moving to a Premiership club unless he bucks his ideas up. I also felt it was the wrong decision put Edwards on at half time - WE NEED A PROVEN GOALSCORER Sent by; Marc Davenport Deano wasn't bad, alright he didnt play his best but he tried his hardest and thats all that matters. I dont see why all this has landed on Deano, Sorvel didnt play good, neither did Jonah so i dont know why they all put the pressure on Deano. Everybody puts pressure on deano when he misses a goal they dont put pressure on Jonah when he misses they only put pressure on Deano cos hes young and they think hes the next Rob Hulse, well he's not he's a lot different than Rob Hulse Sent by; Charlotte Hawkey |
