19-year-old Jones who is yet to feature this season due a dislocated shoulder in pre-season. The Winsford born midfiedler made 26 appearances last season and which also saw him net his first professional goal in the 3-2 away victory at Colchester United.
Jones has also represented Scotland's U19's making 3 appearances, he is now contracted to the club until 2017 and has an option of a further year thereafter.
