About the Ground
Crewe are on the road this weekend and next stop is Huish Park, Yeovil. This will be Crewe's first ever visit to Huish Park and the first ever game between the two clubs.
Yeovil Town are know for FA Cup giant killings especially in the days of their sloping pitch at the original Huish Park but when they moved to the new Huish Park back in 1990 the slope was no more.
The ground is set in nice settings and has a capacity of 9,400 in which 5,212 are seats.

Where to Drink
With Crewe venturing into
Cider County I'm sure some fans will try some scrumpy. So then the nearest pubs to the ground in Yeovil are, The Bell, The Arrow and The Airfield Tavern. These three pubs are within a 10-15 minute walk from the ground. The Bell is a child friendly pub which also has real ale. The Arrow is a modern pub situated on a housing estate. As for a bite to eat Palmers Fish & Chip shop comes highly recommended.

Travel

By train

Yeovil has two stations, Yeovil Junction (situated 2-3 miles outside of the town, naturally) and Pen Mill Junction (about a mile outside the town centre). Both are on the opposite side of town to the football club. From Yeovil Junction there is usually a 'Hopper' Bus that leaves a couple of minutes after every train arrives that will take you to Yeovil Bus Station in the Town Centre, cost around £1. This still leaves you a couple of miles from the Football Ground, but gives you the possibility of doing some shopping or catching a cab or a bus from the town centre. A dedicated Saturday shuttle bus leaves the bus station at 13.50 to arrive at
Huish Park at 14.30. The return journey leaves Huish Park at 17.05, arriving back at the bus station by 17.45. Other than that the no.1 (Abbey Manor) bus leaves from the stop outside the Lloyds TSB Bank in the town centre every 15 minutes to travel to the Abbey Manor housing estate adjacent to the ground. Last bus back into town on a Saturday leaves from Abbey Manor at 18.52pm

By coach
The official one leaves 08:15 cost £17 members + season ticket holders and £18 non-members. While John Ford (Sandbach Travelling Alex) also leave at the same time with a price of £15 depending on numbers for more details you can contact Scott Kynnersley on scott.kynnersley@btinternet.com

By Car
Distance from
Crewe to Yeovil is 177 miles.
Not a bad journey down to
Somerset with 130 miles done on the Motorway (M6,M5,M4). The ground is located on the very outskirts of Yeovil and is signposted from the A303. Leave the A303 at the Cartgate roundabout and take the A3088 towards Yeovil. Follow the road for approximately 8-9 miles until you reach a roundabout on the outskirts of Yeovil with the Westlands Airfield directly in front of you. Turn left at this roundabout and then continue straight on, crossing a number of roundabouts. As you pass the entrance to an Asda superstore, take the next left for the ground, which can be seen from the road.

There is a fair sized car park at the ground, which costs £2. Otherwise there is plenty of street car parking to be had on the roads leading down to the ground.

For the Away fan
Away fans are housed in
Copse Road open terrace behind the goals. The end is uncovered and can hold 1,750 supporters. Although if you like a seat a small number of seats are available in the Yeovil College Main Stand. Usual food on offer in the ground pies, pasties and burgers. Please note that no alcohol is sold in the away end.
