Wrighty Out For Weeks

David Wright is set to miss the next three or four weeks through the dreaded groin strain. The groin strain was picked up at Chesterfield in the 2-0 win and after close examination physio Derek Haysom has ruled him out for 3 or 4 weeks, some rumours say it could be six or seven.

It wouldn’t be surprising if it were six or seven weeks after recent events at the Alexandra Stadium. Dave Brammer picked up a groin strain earlier this month at Notts County in the 2-2 draw. It was meant to be only a ‘slight’ strain but after a couple of weeks of saying he might make it for the next game it seems it’s going to be until the 15th March before the midfield dynamite returns to take the captains armband. Clayton Ince also picked up a groin strain in January, that was also a slight strain, yet it took him 2 games to be back, in which we dropped out of the LDV in disgraceful fashion and dropped two points at home, and even now he’s not fully fit needing intensive stretch’s before games.

David Wrights replacement will be fans favourite Efetobore Sodje.
