Ben Williams has been superb since signing on a 3 month loan towards the end of the season and deserves the tag of being the man who kept the Alex up. The Man Utd keeper looks certain to be released from his contract this summer and with the team back at Crewe this week Dario promised to sit down with Ben to see if a deal to keep him here can be reached.
Right back David Wright, who looks certain to be sold this summer, has joined in calls, with fans and Neil Baker, to sign Williams. The 24 year old told the Sentinel - "Ben is top drawer and I hope we sign him for next year,"
"He's only a young lad, so he can only get better and he is a natural keeper. He catches the ball and stops shots he has no right to - he is an all-round good goalkeeper."
This week should see contracts sorted with Brammer, McCready, Morris and hopefully Williams - whilst our new striker could be announced, then again it could just be another silent week from Gresty Road.
