His £300,000 move to Wigan hit a snag last week when his agent demanded a large sum from Wigan which they refused to pay, so called the transfer off. Wright though went back to Wigan, without his agent, and saved the deal, and on Friday seemingly agreed a deal with the Latics to become their number one right-back next season.
The deal taking Wright to Wigan is thought to be worth around £300,000 to Crewe, with it reportedly rising to £500,000 with add-ons.
So, Wright's 6 year first team association with Crewe ends and the next time we see him will be on Tuesday October 19th in the blue of Wigan at the JJB next season.
