William Berry R.I.P

Bill passed away on 3rd May 2004 after a short illness and his funeral took place in Peterborough on Monday where Neil Baker represented the club. Bill Berry was responsible for taking Cochrane on trial at Crewe, before the fiery midfielder signed for the club, and whilst the club were looking at Gratham striker Jamie Clarke he helped Clarke through a difficult patch.
Clarke had broken his leg whilst playing for Grantham and Billy Berry allowed him to use the facilities Crewe had to offer to get him back on the football pitch. Grantham Town have expressed their condolences.
