Westwood pens deal to end of the season.

34-year-old Westwood played for the Railwaymen between 1995-1998 making 125 appearances. He then joined Bradford City in which he played his part as the Bantams won promotion to the Premiership.

Westwood then joined Sheffield Wednesday after falling down the pecking order at Valley Parade in 2000 and spent three years at Hillsborough.

Upon his release he then joined Norhampton Town and spent three season at Sixfields his time there was some what hampered with a serious knee injury.

The Bridgnorth born defender then joined Chester City and spent two seasons at the Deva in which during his spell he was loaned out to Swindon Town and Port Vale.

He then spent a season at Stevenage Borough and then two seasons with former league team Wrexham where he made 61 appearances for the Red Dragons.

Westwood who has impressed in training over the last three weeks was released by Kettering Town in January.
