We're Not Tipped, But We Don't Care!

It's all Barnsley, Cardiff and Wigan, Crewe come nowhere near favourites as usual we've been given the status of 'a small club with players they will sell by christmas'... How wrong they are. Dario has promised no players will be going unless it's right for them. He's already confirmed Ashton is far to young and inexpierennced to wreck his career at Arsenal, he's rejected a West Brom bid for Rob Hulse, Efe Sodje and Dave Brammer are simply too invaluable to sell before the end of the season.

However all this pressure on Cardiff to do so well will hopefully help us in the new season, We have no pressure from the media to run away with this division so while we don't have the pressure we are the one's who could well take this division by storm. Here's our view on our team ahead of the new season...

Clayton Ince will probably be the number one keeper in the division and dispite his cristism i can't see what's wrong with him. He doesn't make mistakes and saves many goals with his confidence and ability to collect balls 10 yards off his line... he's played 13 games and for 1 mistake against Burnley he's being looked on as a liability. Why? He's a good keeper! With Efe Sodje - who i have no doubts is the best defnder in this division - then a selection of Walker, Foster, McCready, Burton and Walton when fit in the centre with David Vaughan getting forward, who could bring the sh*ts out of most defenders, and David Wright hopefully holding his nerve at right back our defence seems pretty strong.

Dave Brammer will be back on Saturday and will command that midfield once more and i probably have the backing of most of the Crewe fans in saying this man is the god of Division Two and Crewe. He's got the captains arm band and i can't believe some people acutally argued it!!!!! Dave Brammer holds our midfield together with Kenny Lunt next to him who feeds our strike force with most of our assists - should not be taken out of the team, even if he has trouble with the thing called tackling. Then it's a fight between Sorvel, Rix, Bell and Little to get that 3rd middle spot, we reckon it will be a rotation with Rix and Sorvel.

Then here comes the best bit... we have 2 of the best or the best 2 strikers in this division. Some say Rob Hulse is the best - having a larf ain't ya! dean ashton is simply the best 18 year old in Britain, he was injured last season and i believe that hampered his season. He simply wasn't himself as we saw the real him the season before when he was showing up players like Colin Hendry - remember. Now he's had his operation he is running riot again. In the U-19 European Championship he scored in all 3 games and 2 were top class. With him though is still brilliant despite me rating him lower than Dean. Rob plays a different game to Dean and the 23 year old is vital as he brings the team into the game. He's one of the best players to be able to hold up the ball at Crewe and when he's not holding up the ball he's always eyeball to eyeball with the opposition keeper but man times last season he wasted the one on ones and should he had score them he could be well into the 20s on last seasons goal tally, if he can improve on that i can see him and and Deano getting at least 40 goals between them this season - thats only 8 less than the whole team scored last season!

Finally, Rodney Jack. He's got to prove something to Dario or he will be out this time next season. He will be playing behind the two young guns and thats where he will seriously cause problems. On his day with his lightening pace and humourous skims on players he will scare ANY player in ANY team, but he needs to be fit. If he can stay fit this season he, like Darios said, will be the key to unlock them defences for Dean and Rob!

We have a good chance of wiping the floor with this division and being wrote off by everyone will do us the world of good!!!

Come on Crewe!
