After the long transfer saga of Lee Barnard the Spurs youngster has now had a full weeks training at 'The Heath' and now looks set to start against Huddersfield Town this Saturday.

With the Railwaymen lacking goals many Crewe fans see 23-year-old Barnard as the clubs saviour for goals but Steve Holland reckons the player will need time to find his feet.

First team coach Steve Holland told www.crewealex.net "Of course, I'm looking forward to seeing Lee in action as much as anyone because we have had to wait for a long time to get him here"

"I don't want to curb that enthusiasm or excitement amongst the fans because Lee is a good player but we have to consider everything. We have signed Barnard not Berbatov and he will need some time to find his feet.

"He has trained well and will go into the team. We think he will improve us and hopefully give us something we have missing up front. If we can get the ball into him then he has quality, and then if we can find him in the box then he could become that real goalscorer we have been looking for.

Steve added: "His finishing has been excellent in training and hopefully he can take that form into Saturday's game."
