Walker to become a Valiant?

It seems that 25 year-old Richard Walker could sign for Port Vale although a few League One teams are looking at the former Crewe Alex centre half. Foyle did enquire about the towering centre half in January but Dario refused to let him go out loan. Now it seems that Foyle has been keeping tabs and Walker could fit the bill as the Valiant's look to rebuild after a mediocre season in League One. Walker who made 117 appearances for the Railwaymen was one of seven players released yesterday as Dario looks set to rebuild for life in League One. Walker's agent Phil Sproson who was centre half him self at Port Vale said “I think Richard is an under-rated player who would benefit from regular first-team football and would flourish in League One. He is quick, brave, and solid in the air and touch wood, rarely gets injured."
