Vandals Give Alex Set Back

The vandals had though to have broken into Gresty Road over the weekend and have damadge the Family Stand End goalmouth. Two weeks ago STRI, a specialist company. Ripped up the old pitch of sand and re-seeded in a hope the grass could stand up for more than 10 games next season. The vandals though have "completely ruined" one of the goalmouths according to John Huxley, the groundsman.
The damage has set the Alex back 2 weeks in getting the pitch back to it's best and the club are hoping it hasn't disturbed the friendlie coming up with Everton on 22nd July and Liverpool, a few days before maybe, which are both to be held at Gresty Road.
John Huxley says the vandals have been caught on the CCTV cameras and when they're identified "appropriate action" will be taken.
