Vale get a Higdon bashing

Higdon had a tough time when he was thrown in at the deep end earlier this season, making eight appearances for the first team. He is, though, highly succesful at youth and reserve level and today it showed.

The reserves included Higdon, Bell, Zayed and Vaughan at Port Vale and al impressed. Higdon scored all four goals whilst Vaughany came through 90 minutes after recovering from a very slight groin strain - he looks likely to start for the first team this saturday.

Bell and Zayed once again fought for a first team place and gave something for Dario to think about.
