Vale Drawn In The Cup

This draw is probably the best we could have hoped for as even though it's away at Port Vale the crowd capacity should be high, the atmostphere will be electric and Dave Brammer will return to his old club for the first time since leaving them at the start of last season.

The game will be played in the week commencing 9th September and the tickets will be snapped up in days as the Alex will face their local rivals for the first time in 3 years.

Last year the Alex had a good run in the FA Cup, reaching the 4th Round only to be knocked out by George Burley's Ipswich Town - It was a gme we thought to the end, with the return of Dean Ashton from a 4 month injury and a first goal for Dave Brammer in Crewe colours the match ended 3-2 with Ipswich edging it all the way.

Dario would be happier though if his men went 1 round further as he's always said the Worthing Cup is just as important as the FA Cup to Crewe as it brings in the money.
