The Railwaymen who had a cracking 1-0 win over Man United last week came up agaisnt a strong Everton side who looked to bounce back after last weeks defeat to league leaders Man City.
It was Everton who romped into a 4-0 lead at half time with goals coming from Rodwell, Agard, Codling and Molyneux while in the second half Agard got his second and fifth and it could have been a lot worse for Crewe.
Everton had two chance cleared off the line while the Toffeemen also hit the post with very few chances coming the way from the Railwaymen.

The defeat was Crewe's second of the season but still leaves them third in Group C. The next game for the academy youngsters is a tricky away game at Liverpool.
