Turnbull Extends Loan

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has agreed to remain on loan at Crewe Alex for the rest of this season. Turnbull has re-established himself as Crewe's number one keeper following a knee injury sustained against Watford. Despite a disappointing performance against QPR, Turnbull remains to be seen in a positive light by Crewe fans who acknowledge the importance his presence and all-round goalkeeping ability.

Less promising news, however, is that striker Eddie Johnson, who has recently extended his loan to the end of the season, will be out of tomorrow's crunch game against Sheffield Wednesday. Meanwhile, Crewe have confirmed that they will offer midfielder Tony Grant a contract once he has recovered from a broken ankle picked up whilst playing for Crewe's Reserves.
