Tudgay

Crewe are believed to be monitoring the situation of 22-year old Derby striker Marcus Tudgay. Tudgay has become frustrated at his lack of first team football this season under new boss Phil Brown and last appeared during the Rams 1-1 draw at Gresty Road.

Tudgay, who was February's Player-of-the-Month, has fallen behind Stern John, Paul Peschisolido, Mounir El Hemdaoui and Tommy Smith in the pecking order at Pride Park and could well look to secure a move away whether it be on loan or permanently. Tudgay is out-of-contract at the end of the season and if Crewe are to sign the young striker, it is believed they will have to battle with Sheffield Wednesday for the services of the forward who bagged 9 goals last season.

Tudgay's agent, Saif Rubie said, "Championship sides have already shown an interest but we will not discuss names until Derby have received a concrete approach through the right channels."
