Crewe boss Dario Gradi has released three of the trialists that had been at the club.
Marcel McKie, Scott Davies and Abdoulai Demba have all been released but Bas Savage has been given a second chance to impress the coaching staff tonight with Crewe sending a 22 man team to Southport.
Darran Kempson who also impressed before he got injured has been offered a one-year deal.

"Bas did well at Nantwich and proved to be a handful," said Crewe assistant manager Neil Baker.

"He kept the ball well, had a couple of efforts on goal and the fans took to him.

"So he will get another go against Southport, but we have let Marcel, Scott and Demba go."

Meanwhile club captain Neil Cox looks set to make his debut tonight after recovering from whiplash after a car accident earlier this week the former Bolton player trained for the first time yesterday.
