After two clangers from Stuart Tomlinson against Millwall in the FA Cup and a howler from Steve Collis in the replay at Gresty Road it has prompted the Crewe manager to look at a coach to get the best out of the keepers.
Thordarson may use the coach to double up in between the sticks and one player linked is 33-year-old Iceland International Gunnleifur Gunnleifsson.
Thordarson told the www.crewealex.net 'A goalkeeping coach may help them improve. Perhaps the keepers feel neglected in some of the sessions and I think a specialist coach could help them. It is definitely something I will look into it. I know people who could help us and perhaps we will start with a part-time coach who can come in 3-4 times a week and take us forward.'
