Thordarson told the official club website "It was a competitive game for us and a good work out and we coped reasonably well because the pitch was difficult because of the rain and there were a few tackles going in that we were not pleased about.
Thordarson added "I just told my players to stay on their feet because the last thing I want is to get injuries in pre-season. The most important thing was that we didn't lose any players. I was not happy that John (Brayford) got a knock on his head after being blocked off the ball. That shouldn't happen in a pre-season friendly and I was concerned with that.
"I thought we were a bit off of the pace this afternoon and I wasn't too pleased with the way we took ourselves forward. If they do not show the required desire and commitment in the pre-season matches then they will make up for it in training. There will be a double training session tomorrow because there were not too many positives to take from this game.
