They knock us out of the cup, then go bust!

Last week Telford were saved by a last minute bidder on Friday, when they were due to go bust. Losing £16,000 a week the 'Bucks' can't even afford a £11,000 policing bill every week and if talks break down with the most recent bidder then they face almost certain liquidation.

Lee Mills's goal on the 3rd January 2004 sent Crewe out of the FA Cup but with the Conference team having a bigger wage bill than the Division One team... Dario is far from happy.

"I know it will sound like sour grapes, but it does seem wrong to me that Telford should employ players they can't afford, knock us out of the FA Cup and then go bust.

"I know it's not quite that simple, but I had much the same to say about Oxford some years back."

Telford went on to meet Millwall in the next round and Crewe fans can only dream that Millwall could have been us. Or not.
