'The "booo" Sun' claim that David Moyes wants Hulsey for just £500,000 as the next Kevin Campbell. They also claim Leicester want Hulse as a cheaper(and no doubt better) option than Bobby Zamora, who has a £5million price tag on him.

EVERTON and Leicester will lead the chase for Crewe's wantaway striker Rob Hulse. The 23 year old banged in 27 goals for the Railwaymen last season and has one year left on his contract. But he has refused to sign a new deal and now could be on his way to the Premiership for a bargain £500,000. Everton boss David Moyes sees Hulse as an ideal long-term replacement for 33-year-old Kevin Campbell. Premiership new-boys Leicester wanted Brighton's £3m-rated Bobby Zamora but lack the funds to tempt the Seagulls, so Hulse is as an attractive cut-price alternative. Crewe boss Dario Gradi said: "Rob has declined the offer of a new contract which is why we have made him available." Hulse's regular strike partner Rodney Jack has moved to Division Three champions Rushden and Diamonds and Gradi is now in the market to bring in at least one new striker.
