Jim Gannon's Hatters come into the game on the back of a 5-0 thunping of Yeovil Town in the FA Cup replay on Wednesday
Ex-Crewe player Gannon has been linked with the vacant post at Crewe and has always admired Crewe and it's setup after playing for Crewe back in 2000-2001.
It will be the first meeting between the two sides since March 2003 when that day a Rodney Jack's goal saw that Railwaymen seal a 1-0 in front of a crowd of over 7000.
Todays game could see a big crowd of late with over 1600 County fans making the short journey.

Crewe are without influencial Michael O'Connor who picked up his 5th yellow card in the 2-0 defeat to Leyton Orient. Loan signing Kenny Lunt looks set for a place on the bench with Gradi expecting to recall Shaun Miller to the starting XI while Calvin Zola could be recalled to the bench. Former Hatters player Anthony Elding may have to make do with the bench again but will no doubt be wanting to put one over his former club.

Hatters midfielder Steve Gleeson is suspended for the visit to Gresty Road after getting sent off against Yeovil in midweek, while Jimmy McNulty is doubtful after having treatment on a hamstring injury this week.
