Loan player Andy Taylor has been recalled by his parent club Blackburn Rovers as look to have an injury spell themselves.
Taylor was scheduled to play tonight against Tranmere Rovers but now Crewe boss Dario Gradi will have to re think his line up for their must win game.
Blackburn lost key player Andy Todd over there win in the UEFA Cup in midweek, add to the fact they are already without Ryan Nelsen, Stephane Henchoz and Zurab Khizanishvili for the trip to Reading and that left Blackburn boss Mark Hughes no option but to recall the former academy player.
Crewe will now look to either Darrn Moss or even David Vaughan to fill the left back roll for the game away to Tranmere Rovers.
