Jack passed a medical on Wednesday and his move to Rushden & Diamonds, through the bosman ruling, will be completed early next week. Rodney will be in the next few days taking his family to look round the Northamptonshire area as he looks to buy a house in the area as R&D manaher, Brian Talbot, revealed -
"Everything is fine. He has also been looking around the area with his partner and family because they are going to buy a house down here.
"Rodney wants to make sure they will be happy so he's coming back on Monday to put the finishing touches on the deal. He just wants to think about it again over the weekend.
"He scored 16 goals last season - nine in Division Two plus seven in cup competitions. I first saw him at Torquay United so I've known about him for years.
"He has done well at Crewe and he will give us an extra dimension with his pace. He can play wide left and right or through the middle. But first of all he has got to get in the team!
"If you look at the last game of the season then he faces competition for a place from Stuart Gray, Paul Hall, Onandi Lowe and Duane Darby.
"Rodney knows nothing is guaranteed. He's joining a club which had a fantastic season. He's coming to help make us better."
