Swansea City away guide.

About the Ground

Crewe are on the road for the second time within four days and yet again it's another new ground to chalk off! Next stop is Swansea City's Liberty Stadium which was opened its doors last year and has a capacity of 20,500. Like all the modern grounds that have been built Swansea's is similar in design and cost £27m to build. It is a far cry than from the Vetch Field which housed football for 93 years but with the new ground it has brought more supporters through the turn styles.

Where to Drink
Beer is sold at the Liberty ground and is Carling and Worthington which are both priced at £2.50. If you feel a little adventurous there are a few pubs near to the ground. The Station Inn pub is only 5 minutes from the ground and another is the Globe pub which is up the road from the Station Inn. One pub to avoid is The Railway this is one to miss off for away fans.

By Car
Distance from
Crewe to Swansea is 194 miles.
Leave the M4 at Junction 45 and take the A4067 towards the City Centre (sign posted A4067 South). Stay on the A4067 for around two and half miles and you will reach the stadium on your left. Car parking at the stadium is for permit holders only and most of the immediate residential areas around the stadium now have 'residents only' parking schemes in place. Away supporters are being encouraged to use the Park & Ride Facility located at Swansea Vale, which is signposted off the A4067, shortly after leaving the M4. The cost of parking there including transport by bus to and from the stadium is £5 per car (away coaches and mini buses are parked at the stadium itself at a cost of £10 per vehicle). Away supporters have their own separate buses to the ground, with the buses waiting outside the away stand at the end of the game to take supporters back to the car park. Don't be tempted to park on the nearby
Retail Park as you may well end up with a ticket for your trouble!

For the Away fan
Crewe fans will be situated in the North Stand which can hold 3,500 away supporters like with any new stadium the view is great and leg room is very good. The stadium has excellent facilities with a spacious concourse and television sets so that you can look at the latest scores. Usual football food is available offering pies, pasties, burgers and hotdogs. If you fancy a bite outside the ground then on the retail park next to the ground KFC and Pizza Hut can be found or you can try the local chip shop called 'Rossi's'

Please note that no smoking is allowed in the stadium and this includes the concourse.
