Greg Stones looks to a longer run out this Thursday as the Railwaymen have two teams playing at Quorn and Alsager Town.
25-year-old Stones came on with 15 minutes to go in Crewe's 3-0 defeat agasint Liverpool.
The towering player who can play midfield and in the centre of defense has been asked by the management to play more of an attacking role.
Two other trialist, Ryan Lynch and Jomo-Faal Thomas will also get run outs as they look to impress.
Former Coventry City reserve full back Lynch joined up with the team after he had trained all week with Hereford United while Thomas who has played at non-league level with Wealdstone and Hayes also featured against Liverpool at right-back.
