Stones arrived at the Alex after he rejected a new contract at New Saints(TNS). Stone made the trip to Portugal but did not really shine in the pre-season games against Liverpool and Alsager Town.
25-year- old Stones looks set to make his debut in the Blue Square Premier against Farsley Celtic this coming Saturday.
Stones joins fellow ex-Crewe players Christopher Flynn, Kevin Street and Rich Sutton at Marston Road.
