Rob Hulse picked up a groin strain on Friday before Mansfield game. Division Two's joint top scorer picking up 19 goals is '50/50' on his fitness for Saturday. Unlike what most would think we haven't at all missed him with the Alex scoring 8 against Doncaster and Ashton, his replacement, getting 3 of those. On Saturday Ashton also got a goal. Which means Ashton has got 4 in 2 games while Rodney Jack has 2 in 2. So is Hulse really needed. ofcourse he is, as him and Ashton up front with Jack behind them/beside them we'll run riot.
Now for the downer. Last time a Alex player had a groin strain they were meant to return for a home game against Barnsley, they failed to and never played again in the season and probably resulted in relegation. His name - David Brammer!
