The London Evening Standard today reported that Dean Ashton will move to Tottenham Hotspur in a £2.5million month. As we reported yesterday, Spurs Sporting Director frank Arnesen was watching the 21-year-old hitman against Millwall on Tuesday night. "I've said to Dean that the time to think about going would perhaps be in the summer, when he's got a year left on his contract. "That might be the time to consider the options but obviously if a big club came in for him and the idea's right that he's going to play in the team, and the money was decent, obviously we'd talk to him about it. "That hasn't happened and I'm not particularly expecting it to happen and we'll deal with it if it does."
But Dario Gradi insisted that the club has received no bids for the Championship's leading scorer:
"We'd like to keep him here," he told Sky Sports News.
