About the Ground
Crewe make the journey to Haig Avenue on Friday 14 July for a pre-season friendly. The ground has a capacity of 6,049 with 1,844 being seats. The ground is over 100 years old and Southport celebrated that last season. The away end is the open Blowick End Terrace, a number of covered seats are avaliable in the Grandstand but you may incur a small charge to transfer. Even though it maybe summer a breeze coming off the sea can make it feel cooler for the visiting supporter.

Where to Drink?
The Club has it's own Bar at the ground, which is situated behind the Grandstand. Otherwise there is the 'Thatch and Thistle' pub which is only a few minutes walk away from the ground.
Travel
Car
From the South - Take the M6, and exit at Junction (26) signed posted for the M58. Follow the M58 until junction (3), and take the A570 past Skelmersdale. Stay on the A570 past Ormskirk (one-way), and this will take you into the Kew district of Southport. At the roundabout take the second exit, Scarisbrick New Road, the ground is situated just past the College (KGV) on the right, (Haig Avenue). As for parking the club's small car park is for players and officials only. Therefore, fans have to park in the surrounding streets. There are usually many spaces under a couple of minutes walk away but please watch out for parking restrictions in some of the surrounding streets.
Train
The nearest station is Meols Cop which is on the Manchester to Southport line and is around a 15 minute walk away from the ground. Southport station is in the town centre and is a good 30 minute walk away.
