Sodje had agreed to join Huddersfield a few weeks ago but due to Huddersfield being in administration he had to wait for them to come out. On Thursday they were out of administration and over the weekend Sodje signed a 2 year contract.

Sodje played 116 times and scoring 4 times from defence. While at Crewe the bandanna man won fans for his true passion to play but at times was left on the bench by Dario for no real reason. Sodj' became the first Alex player to play in a world cup when he turned out for Nigeria against England and Argentina in the World Cup 2002 and he didn't do his reputation any harm. However last season Sodje found it hard to break into the side and keep his place. He did appear a number of times but was mainly used out of position at right back.

At the end of the season Dario told Sodje he could leave on a free if he can find a new club and despite having talks with Hibs and FC Tokyo Sodje chose Yorkshire team Huddersfield so he can remain in the north of England.
