About the Ground

Crewe are on the road and next stop it is Rotherham United's Millmoor Stadium. Crewe have an impressive record at Millmoor in recent years and will look to bounce back after losing three games in a row. The ground at the moment is having work done to it; a new 4,500 main stand is being constructed and should be ready during this campaign.

Where to Drink
Right then no alcohol is served in the ground but there are a few pubs that the supporters can visit for a pre-match drink. The Butchers Arms in Midland Road welcomes away supporters for those who like Weatherpoons pub Rhinoceros in Bathgate is popular. If you don't fancy a long walk then the Millmoor Pub next to the ground usually lets in away supporters. Pubs to avoid are Shooters, Prince of Wales and County Borough these are usually for home supporters only.

Travel

By train

The ground is walkable from the train station and is about a 5-10 minute walk. Trains leave Crewe every hour and every half hour and you will need to change at Stockport and then at Sheffield. Journey time is around two hours. First train back to Crewe is 17:46 with the next one at 18:48. A super saver ticket will cost you £20.

By coach
The official coach leaves at 11 am cost £11 members + season ticket holders and £12 non-members.


By Car
Distance from Crewe to Rotherham is 75 miles.
Leave the M1 at Junction 34 and take the A6109 towards Rotherham. At the large roundabout, which is the junction with the A629, turn right. Proceed along the A629 crossing a small roundabout and then at the second much larger roundabout turn right and you will see the ground over on your right. You can see the floodlights of the ground for some distance away. Either street parking or there is a car park behind the Main Stand which costs £2.

There is a handy unofficial car park that away fans can use behind the Zone nightclub on Main Street. Access to the car park, which costs £2, is by a slip road off the dual carriageway and is well signposted near to the ground. From the car park a subway takes you down the back of the scrap yards to Millmoor Lane and the away end turnstiles.

For the Away fan
Crewe fans will be situated in the Railway End, which holds around 2,000 fans. Downside of the away end can be the pillars that support the roof. Usual standard of food at the ground, with pies ranging from the famous Chicken Balti and hot pork pies.
