This time it is Gary Roberts who is now linked with a move away from Gresty Road in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers, Plymouth Argyle, QPR, Leicester City and Ipswich Town all have been keeping tabs on the Chester born midfielder.
Roberts who has represented England at youth levels (U-17's, U-18's, and U-19's) signed pro forms for the Railwaymen back in 2004 but actually made his debut against Burnley in 2003 while still a youth player. This season Roberts has made 18 apperances netting four times for the Railwaymen and has put in some strong performaces on the pitch that have captured the eye of the visiting scouts.
Roberts is contracted to the Alex until 2009 but it is believed he has been offered an improved contract at the club, in the past the club has always offered players improved contracts with the guarantee that they will not stop the player from moving if the right offer comes along.
