The 21-year-old Chester born midfielder has been looking to leave the club for sometime and some of his off the field antics have been the final straw for boss Steve Holland.
Roberts failed to show for training recently which led to the chairman and manager deciding that the player looked elsewhere for the interest of the club and the player.
Roberts will now be in the team that faces Leeds United tomorrow but will not be eligible for when Crewe visit Huish Park on Tuesday 21 October. His loan spell will see him at the club until 31st December where no doubt the Glovers will review the situation.
Roberts told Yeovil's official site"I was at Crewe until the end of last season and I just wanted a fresh start. Yeovil were interested in me, so I came down and have enjoyed my first week here. Hopefully I can progress with my career now and do well for Yeovil."
"It's a relaxing area and everyone looks like they enjoy the football round here, and it's probably something that I need so I can get my head down and do well. It's a big start for me with Leeds tomorrow and Middlesbrough on Tuesday so I am really looking forward to it."
