So Hulse is on the transfer list. Top scorer last season after a summer that saw Dario reject as £2.5million offer from West Brom. The news that Hulse has been transfer listed, after refusing to sign a new contract, may give WBA manager, Gary Megson some idea's.
However with money dissapearing in football it is doubtful the Alex will gather anywhere near the amount West Brom were once willing to spend.
Hulse has one year left on his contract and if we weren't, or aren't, to sell him then he will move on a free in the summer of 2004.
So it looks certain Hulse has played his last game at the Alex and has scored his last goal for the Alex. Whilst i wish he wasn't leaving I don't blame him that much for wanting out - he's 24 this year and knows he has premiership clubs after him, he's ambitious but will no doubt always be a Crewe lad.
The question now being asked is, with only one proven out and out striker left in Dean Ashton(Who's still considering his contract)... who will Dario bring in to replace Hulse? Liverpool's Neil Mellor on a years loan?
