Rivals bites the dust...but Mad leads the way.

This morning many Crewe fans who have used Rivals over the years found they could not access the site.

Rivals had been round for many years just like Mad but in the present climate and Rivals parent company BskyB decided to pull the plug on all site covered by the Rivals network.

BskyB bought Rivals the other year but with a revamp of the sites and board saw many move to other networks.

A statement was issued by Rivals parent company 'Following the closure in hosting all the relevant websites, and a review of www.rivals.net it has been decided to close the Rivals websites as of the date of this letter.'

So where now for the Crewe supporters to air their views?

Step forward Crewe Mad which has been round for many years and still boasts a healthy amount members and a very active messageboard even though many people still look and not post.

Crewe Mad is on Twitter and Facebook and add articles on a regular basis and myself who has been site editor for three years have a decent crew to take the site to the next level.

We hope to make a number of improvements to our website for the 2009/10 season and key to this is adding extra features to the website via new writers and contributors.
