Reds tracking defenders

Walsall centre-back Julian Bennett is reportedly on the manager's wish list after a string of impressive performances for the West Midlanders. The nineteen-year-old is described as a "no nonsense, dominant left footer."

According to last Sunday's Observer, twenty-one-year-old Lee Beevers of League Two side Boston United is also being tracked by the Alex. The former Ipswich trainee has been an ever present for the York Street outift, who sit eleventh in the table. Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich are also believed to be monitoring the defender.
