Railwaymen to face Liverpool in Carling Cup.

The game will take place w/c 22nd September with the club also expecting a decent allocation of tickets as demand will be high.

Crewe last played Liverpool in the League Cup back in 1990 when the Railwaymen lost 5-1 at Anfield with Andy Sussex netting after a few minutes to give a shock lead.

The second leg at Crewe saw Liverpool win 4-1 with Andy Sussex netting the last and consolation goal as Liverpool ended up winning 9-2 over the two legs.
