Railwaymen take Hoops keeper on trial.

20-year-old McWeeney joined QPR after his release from Reading in 2008. McWeeney will be looking to impress at Kidsgrove on Monday night and try and gain kept on a non-contract basis as cover for on loan Chelsea keeper Rhys Taylor.

McWeeney started his career with Tranmere Rovers where he came through the youth set up at Prenton Park under the guidance of John Achterberg.

After his release from Tranmere he joined Reading for a season before joining QPR where he played in the reserves.

McWeeney joins Danny Blanchett, Matthew Brown and Jimmy McCarthy all looking to impress over the coming weeks.
