Railwaymen swoop for Seasiders Broomes.

31-year old Broomes goes straight into the squad that faces Peterborough United tomorrow night.

Broomes who joined the Seasiders from Stoke City has only made one sub appearance but has been a regular for Blackpool in the reserve league.

Broomes started his career at Blackburn Rovers and made 32 appearances for the Lancashire club during his time at Ewood Park. He was also loaned out to Swindon Town, QPR and Grimsby Town.

He then left Blackburn and joined Sheffield Wednesday in December 2001 and went on to make 18 appearances for the Owls. Then in the summer of 2002 Broomes joined Preston North End on a three year deal making 69 apperances over the three years at Deepdale.

In the summer of 2005 Broomes moved to near neighbours Stoke City and made 42 appearances for the Potteries club during his three year stay.
