23-year-old Roberts joined the Tractor boys last January where he had been on loan since October.
Roberts was at Liverpool as a youngster but joined Crewe when the Merseyside giants released him. He was then released from Crewe and joined Welshpool and after making eight appearances netting nine times prompted Accrington Stanley to sign him.
Roberts has managed to make 19 appearances this season although half of them was from the bench but has not featured since Christmas for Ipswich and he is contracted to the Suffolk club until 2010.
