The 19-year-old attacking midfielder signed for Reading Academy back in 2005 and then signed a pro contract with the Royals in 2007.
Sigurðsson had a months loan spell at League Two team Shrewsbury Town back in October 2008 and made his debut against Bournemouth and netted in a 4-1 win.
Sigurðsson went on to make 5 apperances in total for the Shrews scoring one goal.
