20-year-old Button has joined the club on a six-month loan deal that will see him at the club until 3rd January 2010.
Stevenage born Button joined the Spurs academy in the season 2005-06 and has also represented England at U-19 and U20 level.
Button has yet to feature for the Premiership side but has had loan spells at Grays, Rochdale, Bournemouth, Luton and Dagenham and Redbridge.
Button looks set to make an appearance in a friendly at Hyde United on Thursday and will look to challange for the number one jersey over Steve Collis and Adam Legzdins.
Button told BBC Radio Stoke "I have had short loan spells before but this is longer and it will benefit me as I take the next step forward in my career."
