With the emergency loan window closing next week Crewe look set to dip into the loan market again with the signing of Southampton striker Cedric Baseya on a months loan.

The player looks set to sign today after the Railwaymen pipped League One rivals Bournemouth for his signature.

Bournemouth manager Kevin Bond had hoped to sign Baseya on loan with the Cherries having Lee Bradbury (suspension) and Sam Vokes (International Duty) ruled out for the clash to Hartlepool United.

Bournemouth's manager Kevin Bond told www.thisisdorset.net "We have made plenty of enquires and we asked about Cedric Baseya, who we have seen a number of times, but it looks like he's going to Crewe"

If Baseya signs he will join Elliot Bennett (Wolves) and Simon Chuch (Reading) on loan at the club and with talk of the return of Kenny Lunt it seems that Crewe are adding numbers to get through a busy November and December.
