Crewe are expecting to sign a striker before the season starts but for one target they may have some competition for Jemal Johnson.
It seems that League One rivals Swansea City look set to join the race to sign the transfer listed striker.
Both teams need a replacement after Crewe and Swansea both sold their top goalscorers to Charlton and Bristol City respectively.
It seems that Johnson fits the bill for both teams, it just maybe a question on money and location for the americans signature.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has said "There are a couple of clubs interested in Jemal so we're waiting to hear from them."
